Eco-Friendly Approach

Group Tremblay & Lemieux adheres to the National Pest Management Association's (NMPMA) industry approved Integrated Pest Management ("IPM") Program. The strategy of IPM is to use all possible pest management techniques in eradicating and preventing potential pest infestations so as to avoid the use of pesticides wherever possible. While approved pesticides are sometimes used as a tool in the IPM Program, they take on a lesser role.

The goals of Tremblay & Lemieux's IPM Program are to:

  • Provide a detailed inspection to identify all pest vulnerable areas
  • Modify the pest’s living environment (access to food, water and shelter) to make survival more difficult
  • Install monitoring devices and use follow-up inspections to identify pest activity
  • Apply safe and approved products
  • Use pesticides as a last alternative and only in area(s) where pest activity has been determined

Proper sanitation and exclusion are crucial elements of successful pest control and extermination. Another key component in implementing a winning IPM Program is communication and the client and Tremblay & Lemieux must work together to ensure proper communication.

When the client and Group Tremblay & Lemieux chose pesticide application as the alternative treatment, Group Tremblay & Lemieux will only use approved and safe pesticides. Depending on the type and severity of the infestation, Group Tremblay & Lemieux will work closely with each client to determine the best approach to solve the problem.
